USPTA Professional Joe Noth is the Director of Tennis at Walnut Creek Racquet Club/Heather Farms, in Walnut Creek, CA. He offers clinics for players of all ages, and teaches private and group lessons. Joe was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and began his tennis career there at Mercy Health Plex in Fairfield, Ohio.
Joe was the Head Tennis Pro for Culpeper Sport and Racquet Club in Culpeper, VA from 2006-early 2011. Joe started teaching tennis in 2002 and earned his USPTA certification in 2005.
"Tennis is one big family, and to be a part of something so great is something everyone should experience," he says. "I enjoy meeting new and interesting people from all across the globe who share the same enjoyment I do from playing and teaching tennis."
Joe played four years of high school varsity tennis at La Salle High School, earning an all-city ranking, two first-team Greater Catholic League rankings, and one second-team GCL ranking. He was the team captain for four years and holds the all-time win record at the school.
From 2004 to 2005 he attended Methodist College in Fayetteville, N.C., where he played on the men's varsity team and won a USA South Athletic Conference tournament. He also attended the University of Cincinnati from 2005-2006.
Joe's greatest accomplishment as a tennis pro is "being able to share something I love with many different people all across the country," he says.
His professional goals are to become a head professional at a five-star resort or club, become a USPTA Master Professional, and own and operate a successful club in an exotic location.
Outside of tennis, Joe enjoys many sports, including football (WHO-DEY! GO BENGALS!), snowboarding and soccer.
